Apple’s Revenue Surges 14% as iPhone, Services, and Mac Drive Growth

Apple reported stronger-than-expected earnings for the quarter ended June, marking its largest revenue growth since December 2021. The tech giant announced a 14% increase in revenue, reaching $96.4 billion, while net income rose to $18.2 billion, surpassing analyst forecasts on both the top and bottom line.
iPhone Sales Fuel Growth Amid Early Upgrades
iPhone sales, the cornerstone of Apple’s business, surged 13.5% year-over-year to $44.6 billion, up from $39.3 billion in the same period last year. Analysts and Apple executives attribute this jump partly to consumers upgrading earlier than planned, spurred by concerns over potential tariff-related price hikes.

Services Remain a Key Revenue Engine
Apple’s services division continued its strong momentum, climbing 13.3% to $27.4 billion. With an installed base of over 2.3 billion active devices and more than one billion paid subscriptions, this segment is expected to remain a long-term growth driver for the company. Services now account for a significant share of Apple’s overall revenue mix, reinforcing its strategy to diversify beyond hardware.
Mac Sees Double-Digit Growth on New Product Launches
The Mac category posted the highest growth rate at 14.8%, boosted by the release of new MacBook Air models just before the start of the quarter. Revenue from Mac climbed to $8.0 billion, up from $7.0 billion in the prior year.
Wearables and iPads Face Declines
Not all product lines shared in the success. Wearables, Home, and Accessories revenue fell 8.6% to $7.4 billion, while iPad sales dropped 8.1% to $6.6 billion, reflecting weaker demand in those categories.
Apple’s Momentum and Future Outlook
This quarter’s performance underscores Apple’s ability to weather economic uncertainties while expanding its services ecosystem and maintaining hardware leadership. The strong iPhone and services performance, coupled with solid Mac sales, point toward a resilient growth trajectory despite headwinds in certain product categories.
