ATL Automotive Group Named Regional Master Dealer for MG in the Caribbean

Adam Stewart, Executive Chairman, ATL Automotive Group
In a significant development for the Caribbean automotive market, ATL Automotive Group has been officially appointed as the regional master dealer for the prestigious British car manufacturer MG. This announcement, made on Thursday, marks a pivotal milestone in ATL Automotive’s expansion strategy.
Adam Stewart, Executive Chairman of ATL Automotive Group, expressed his enthusiasm about the new partnership. “After two years of negotiations with MG, we are thrilled to announce this major triumph for the ATL Automotive Group. With MG’s century-long legacy of excellence, we are honored to be entrusted with the development of the MG brand in the Caribbean. This region is rich with innovative potential and value, and we are eager to support our regional partners throughout the Caribbean with a world-class suite of services,” Stewart said.
The addition of MG to ATL Automotive’s portfolio represents a significant expansion of their brand offerings. MG, known for its sporty and high-performance vehicles, is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The brand’s current lineup includes a diverse range of gas, electric, and hybrid vehicles, reflecting its growing presence in the electric vehicle (EV) market.
Under this new partnership, ATL Automotive Group will manage MG’s sales and after-sales operations not only in Jamaica but also in ten additional Caribbean countries. These countries include Aruba, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Bonaire, the Cayman Islands, Curacao, and, for the first time, the Dominican Republic, Belize, Haiti, and Turks & Caicos.
“This is an especially exciting venture for us, particularly as we enter the Dominican Republic—a new Spanish-speaking market for ATL Automotive. This territory represents our largest responsibility to date and provides a significant opportunity to enhance our regional impact through innovative brand strategies,” Stewart added.
2024 is shaping up to be a year of remarkable growth for ATL Automotive Group. Following last month’s announcement of the addition of Foton to their lineup, this new partnership with MG further underscores the company’s commitment to expanding its automotive portfolio and enhancing its regional presence.
MG vehicles, designed in Marylebone, London, and manufactured in advanced facilities worldwide, are celebrated for their practicality, spaciousness, and advanced features, such as the Modular Scalable Platform (MSP) and the intelligent iSmart vehicle data app. In Jamaica, customers can now pre-order the MG ZS and the MG4 EV, with deliveries of the all-electric MG4 scheduled to begin in October. A full range of MG vehicles, including the MG3, MG GT, MG EHS, and additional models, will be available soon.
To meet the anticipated demand, ATL Automotive plans to establish temporary showrooms near its flagship location on Oxford Road, with state-of-the-art sales and service facilities in Kingston and Montego Bay expected to open by the end of 2025.
This strategic partnership with MG not only enhances ATL Automotive Group’s brand offerings but also marks a significant step in the company’s ongoing mission to deliver exceptional automotive experiences throughout the Caribbean region.
