CFF Champions Literacy with Joyful Return to Schools for Read Across Jamaica Day 2025

Kingston, Jamaica — Caribbean Flavours and Fragrances Limited (CFF) has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to child development and literacy by once again participating in Read Across Jamaica Day 2025, marking its third consecutive year of engaging with local schools through its literacy initiative.
Under the heartfelt theme, “Safeguarding the Future of Our Children: Adapting a Culture of Reading,” CFF returned to Cockburn Gardens Primary and Junior High School and End Time Basic School to host a dynamic day of reading activities aimed at inspiring young minds. The initiative is part of Education Week and plays a pivotal role in the broader Child Month celebrations.
Inspiring Joy Through Stories
Students from grades 1, 5, and 6 at Cockburn Gardens and children of all age groups at End Time Basic were treated to animated read-aloud sessions, interactive Q&As, and prize giveaways. Leading the charge were members of the CFF team, who stepped into the classrooms as guest readers—bringing stories to life and sparking imaginations.

Among the literary highlights was “Lola Loves Stories with Daddy,” read passionately by Allison Phipps of Caribbean Flavours and Fragrances to the Class 1 students of End Time Basic School, leaving a lasting impression on young readers.
A Culture of Care and Celebration
“At CFF, we believe that literacy is the key to unlocking self-worth, communication skills, and future opportunity,” stated Janice Lee, General Manager of Caribbean Flavours and Fragrances Ltd. “By returning to these schools, we’re showing our children that they’re not just seen—they’re celebrated. And that reading can be joyful, empowering, and transformative.”
The day’s activities were made even more delightful with gift bags and snacks sponsored by KISS Baking Jamaica, ensuring the event remained fun, rewarding, and memorable for every child.
Praise from Educators
Dr. Patricia Kinglocke-Findley, Principal of Cockburn Gardens Primary and Junior High, commended CFF for its continued investment in Jamaica’s youth:
