Federal Capital Group Names Levar Smith as Incoming President and CEO

The board of directors at Federal Capital Group has announced that Levar Smith will assume the role of Group President and CEO starting January 2, 2027. With nearly two decades of service at Marathon Insurance Brokers, a key subsidiary of Federal Capital Group, Smith is expected to steer the company’s operations both in Jamaica and across the broader Caribbean region.

Smith’s 18-year tenure at Marathon Insurance Brokers has seen him occupy various high-level positions, culminating in his current role as President and CEO. His leadership has been integral to the company’s consistent success, earning him a highly regarded reputation within the insurance industry. A representative from Federal Capital Group emphasized Smith’s impact, noting, “His vision and leadership have been pivotal to Marathon’s continued success.”

In preparation for Smith’s transition to his new role, Federal Capital Group will appoint a new General Manager for Marathon Insurance Brokers, with this change taking effect on October 1, 2026. During the interim period, Smith will continue to lead Marathon, ensuring a seamless handover while also preparing to take on his expanded responsibilities within the Group.
