Kingdom Out Initiative: A Season of Giving in Yallahs, St. Thomas

Carla Dunbar Ministries International (CDMI) is set to continue its mission of compassion and care with the second leg of the Kingdom Out community outreach initiative in Yallahs, St. Thomas, on Saturday, December 7, 2024. The event, taking place at Yallahs Primary School, aims to bring joy, hope, and essential services to underserved families in the community during this holiday season.
Kingdom Out is more than just a charitable event; it is an expression of solidarity with those in need. This year, a collaborative team of local organizations, including Jamaica AIDS Support for Life (JASL), the Department of Correctional Services, PATH, Carla Dunbar Counselling Care, and St. Thomas Poor Relief, have joined forces to ensure that the people of Yallahs receive critical support.
A Holiday Gift Beyond Material Goods
“This is a season of giving, and through Kingdom Out, we are delivering more than material items; we are delivering hope,” shared Bishop Dr. Carla Dunbar, the visionary behind CDMI. The initiative is designed to do more than simply provide immediate relief. It aims to foster a long-term sense of community resilience and hope, empowering residents to face challenges with renewed strength.
Local families will benefit from a variety of services, including professional counseling and vital health and social support, as well as care packages containing non-perishable food and hygiene essentials. The team behind Kingdom Out is dedicated to addressing both the immediate and emotional needs of participants, ensuring that the event creates a lasting positive impact.
A Call for Volunteers and Donations
As the event draws closer, Kingdom Out is seeking volunteers and donors to help make the day a success. Those interested in supporting the initiative are invited to assist with logistics, including setup and cleanup, media coordination, and event management. Donations of tents, non-perishable food, and hygiene products are also needed to support the outreach. Contributions can be made at the St. Thomas Municipal Corporation office, where the team is collecting items ahead of the event.
