KLM Resumes Seasonal Flights to Barbados and Guyana for Winter 2025

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has announced the exciting return of its seasonal flights connecting Amsterdam to Bridgetown, Barbados, and Georgetown, Guyana, just in time for the 2025 winter travel season.
Starting October 26, 2025, and continuing through March 26, 2026, travelers will have the opportunity to enjoy three weekly flights to these captivating Caribbean and South American destinations aboard KLM’s modern Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
The airline, which previously operated this route during the winter seasons of 2021 and 2022, is reinstating the service due to growing demand for both leisure and business travel to the region.
Flight Schedule and Travel Experience
Designated as Flight KL783, the service will depart Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday at 9:35 AM. After a transatlantic journey, the aircraft will touch down in Bridgetown (BGI) at 1:35 PM local time. Following a short layover, the flight will continue to Georgetown (GEO), departing at 3:05 PM and arriving at 4:40 PM.
The return leg will depart Georgetown at 6:00 PM, arriving back in Amsterdam the following morning at 8:00 AM, ensuring convenient connectivity for travelers heading back to Europe.
Passengers will enjoy the comforts of the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, which boasts a range of seating options, including 30 seats in World Business Class, 21 seats in Premium Comfort, and 224 seats in Economy Class. The aircraft promises a modern, relaxing atmosphere ideal for long-haul journeys.
Strengthening Regional Ties and Tourism Opportunities
KLM’s decision to reintroduce these flights underlines the strategic importance of Barbados and Guyana within its network. Bridgetown, known for its vibrant culture, historic sites, and stunning beaches, remains a popular winter escape for European travelers seeking sun and relaxation.
Meanwhile, Georgetown, Guyana’s lively capital, continues to grow as a vital economic hub in northern South America, attracting not only tourists but also business professionals looking to tap into the region’s expanding opportunities.
Previously, KLM’s Caribbean flights often included a stop in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. However, with this renewed focus, the airline is strengthening direct links to Barbados and Guyana, providing travelers with greater convenience and improved regional connectivity.
Expanding KLM’s Caribbean Presence
Alongside its service to Bridgetown and Georgetown, KLM maintains a robust Caribbean presence, with regular flights to destinations like Curaçao — often operated with Airbus A330-200s or occasionally upgraded to A330-300s and Boeing 777-200s during peak travel periods.
This seasonal route expansion reaffirms KLM’s commitment to offering more choices for passengers and highlights the increasing attractiveness of the Caribbean and South American markets for both leisure and business travel.
As winter 2025 approaches, travelers can once again look forward to seamless, premium travel experiences with KLM, connecting Europe to two of the region’s most vibrant destinations.
