TUI Global Hospitality Fund has strengthened its footprint in the Caribbean with the acquisition of the former Jewel Paradise Cove in Runaway Bay, Jamaica. The announcement, made at the ITB Berlin travel and tourism trade fair, highlights TUI’s commitment to expanding its luxury portfolio in premier destinations.

The newly acquired property is set to undergo a significant transformation as it rebrands under the Royalton CHIC banner. The development plans include the addition of 120 Diamond Club beachfront suites, increasing the resort’s total suite count to 345. These enhancements are expected to be completed by late 2026, after which the resort will join Marriott’s prestigious Autograph Collection, elevating its appeal to international travelers.

Strategic Expansion of Royalton Resorts in Jamaica

This latest investment reflects the growing prominence of Royalton Resorts within the all-inclusive luxury hospitality sector. Royalton already operates two resorts in Negril and two in Trelawny, making this move a strategic step in strengthening its presence in Jamaica’s tourism market.

Gregory Shervington, Regional Director for Europe at the Jamaica Tourist Board, welcomed the investment, calling it a “strong vote of confidence” in Jamaica’s thriving tourism industry. He emphasized that TUI’s commitment, along with Royalton’s continued expansion, underscores the island’s reputation as a top-tier investment destination for global hospitality brands.

Elevated Luxury Experience at Royalton CHIC

Jurgen Stutz, Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management at Blue Diamond Resorts, expressed enthusiasm about bringing Royalton CHIC Resorts to Jamaica. He noted that this move aligns with the brand’s dynamic growth strategy and meets the increasing demand for elevated, experience-driven all-inclusive stays.

The redesigned resort is set to offer premium luxury services, including:

  • Personalized butler services
  • Exclusive beachfront suite locations
  • Dedicated VIP areas
  • Upscale amenities catering to modern travelers

Peter Krueger, TUI Group’s Chief Strategy Officer and CEO of Holiday Experiences, reiterated TUI’s market leadership in the Caribbean, stating that the company is already a dominant leisure provider in the region. This latest development solidifies TUI’s status as a key player in upscale Caribbean hospitality.

Shaping the Future of Jamaican Luxury Tourism

With this ambitious project, TUI and Royalton CHIC Resorts are poised to redefine luxury tourism in Jamaica. The revitalized resort is expected to attract a new wave of high-end travelers, further enhancing Jamaica’s reputation as a premier destination for discerning guests seeking exclusive, world-class experiences.
