VIP Attractions Invests $5 Million to Enhance Traveler Experience in Jamaica

Globally acclaimed airport concierge and lounge service provider, VIP Attractions, has announced a significant investment of US$5 million into its Jamaican operations. Established in 2011, the multi-award-winning company has become a cornerstone of traveler and visitor experiences at both Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) in Kingston and Sangster International Airport (SIA) in Montego Bay.

Carlos Moleon, Director of VIP Attractions, detailed that US$4 million of the investment will be directed towards Sangster International Airport, while US$1 million is allocated for Norman Manley International Airport. “These funds are earmarked to enhance our capacity to manage the increasing number of tourists arriving in Jamaica through these key entry points,” Moleon stated. The company has seen visitor numbers surpass pre-pandemic levels, signaling a robust rebound in tourism.

VIP Attractions has built its reputation on providing a seamless and luxurious travel experience. “We are committed to ensuring that every traveler’s arrival and departure is as smooth and stress-free as possible,” Moleon emphasized. “Our goal is to make every visitor feel a warm Jamaican welcome from the moment they step off the plane.”

This renewed strategic focus comes on the heels of guidance from Marc Melville, CEO of Chukka Caribbean Adventures, who suggested that VIP Attractions market its lounges as part of Jamaica’s tourism appeal. Responding to this advice, the company partnered with the government to introduce meet-and-greet services, which have quickly gained popularity. These services have not only showcased Jamaican hospitality right from the airport but have also turned the VIP lounges into cultural showcases, attracting high-profile visitors and offering a taste of local culture.

Moleon paints a vivid picture of the VIP lounge experience: “Imagine an airport lounge that feels more like a luxurious retreat—a blend of a social club and a first-class entertainment venue, complete with a stylish bar. This is the new standard set by Jamaica’s VIP Attractions through its renowned brands, Club MoBay and Club Kingston.”

With business booming, VIP Attractions is exploring expansion beyond Jamaica, considering new opportunities in other Caribbean islands and potentially further afield. “This ambition aligns with a broader trend across the region,” Moleon observed. “As tourism rebounds, countries are eager to tap into the pent-up demand for travel.”

As the company prepares to execute its investment strategy, there is a strong sense of optimism within Jamaica’s tourism sector. Stakeholders are hopeful that with sustained investment and innovation, the industry will continue to thrive in the coming years, further cementing Jamaica’s status as a premier destination for global travelers.
