Sygnus Capital, a leading force in the Caribbean’s alternative investment landscape, is spearheading a transformative infrastructure project on the island of Eleuthera. As the primary arranger in a strategic public-private partnership, Sygnus has successfully secured funding for an extensive 163-mile road paving and safety enhancement initiative, in collaboration with Caribbean Pavement Solutions (CPS), part of the Bahamas Striping Group of Companies.

This ambitious road improvement project addresses long-standing challenges posed by deteriorating road conditions on Eleuthera, an island celebrated for its stunning pink sand beaches and crystal-clear waters. For years, the poor state of the island’s roads has impacted both residents and visitors, disrupting local economic activities and compromising safety. The Eleuthera Road Project (ERP) is set to tackle these issues directly, enhancing road safety and connectivity while contributing to the island’s broader economic, social, and environmental development.

Marking Sygnus Capital’s second major road infrastructure effort in The Bahamas, following a successful $25 million investment in a 45-mile highway improvement project in Exuma, the ERP underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainable infrastructure development in the region.

The collaboration with Sygnus Capital and the Government of The Bahamas underscores the importance of public-private partnerships in advancing infrastructure projects. We are proud to be part of this historic endeavor, which will greatly benefit Eleuthera by boosting transportation, tourism, and safety.”
